I was playing Dungeon Runners last night and the topic of President Bush/War in Iraq came up. If you even occasionally poke your head from under the rock you know how that conversation went. My views on this topic are as follows.
I voted for Pres. Bush who was the best candidate, in my opinion, and I trust him to do his job. I do not have all the information needed to make the decisions he does, so I have no cause to dispute his.
That is not to say that I endorse war, although I was among the many, many citizens outraged by attacks on my country in 2001 and advocated sending our military out into the world to "teach them a lesson." Of course none of us really know who "they" are or what lesson is taught by meeting violence with violence.
However, I disagree with the drastic turn of public opinion and how popular it is to hate Bush right now. Is the general public really that forgetful?
It's almost time to choose a new president. I recommend we start now to read up on the issues and the candidates so we're ready when the time comes to make an informed decision that we can be proud of for the duration of their term.
DR is a fun game, by the way. It's great for folks that want to spend an hour or two a few days a week mindlessly killing demon spawn and perhaps engaging in conversation with the other players to relieve stress and boredom. We also discussed pastries.

Waves On The Ocean
Sometimes when I look at waves on the ocean, lake or river, it seems to me they're moving in the opposite direction that the water is flowing. That always mesmerizes me.

I Think I'm Done With Softball
This morning I looked at the sky and thought, "Please don't rain. I want to get [the softball season] over with."

Does This Milkshake Feel Like Love?
I noticed over the weekend that over-eating gave me a similar sensation to receiving affection. A few hours later it left me with a few other sensations that reminded me of heart break, not the least of which was an upset stomach.
